Officers were called to the 900 block of Pico for a Traffic Collision with Injuries. A vehicle struck a bicyclist and a pedestrian. There was significant front windshield damage to the vehicle. As the driver of the vehicle was talking with officers, the smell of alcohol was emitting from them. The driver was given a series of field sobriety tests and failed them. The driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence causing injury. The bicyclist and pedestrian were transported to local hospitals for their injuries. Laura Blackwell, 64, from Marina Del Rey, was arrested for DUI. Bail was set at $100,000.
