On November 25, at about 8:25 a.m.
Officers responded to a radio call for service at 11th Street and Pico Blvd regarding a subject lying on the sidewalk and possibly under the influence of an unknown substance. Officers contacted the subject at the location and noticed the subject displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Officers spoke with the reporting party – manager of Holiday Motel at 1102 Pico Blvd. The manager told officers the subject had been a guest at the motel for the previous week but was due to check out. The manager noticed damage to the room occupied by the suspect. The suspect was placed under arrest without incident. Justin Nicholas Young, 32, homeless was arrested for Vandalism and Public Intoxication. Bail was set at $250.
