The Daily Grill in Santa Monica is launching newly expanded hours in conjunction with a month-long fundraiser for the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation.
Daily Grill General Manager Jensen Kumamoto said the restaurant will donate 50 percent of all food and soft beverage sales collected on Saturday evenings in the month of November to the nonprofit, which is dedicated to saving education programs in the cities of Santa Monica and Malibu. This particular fundraiser will support the drama departments at the two Santa Monica schools in need — John Adams and Lincoln middle schools. All interested in donating must print and show a special invitation found at www.smmef.org or www.dailygrill.com (on the Santa Monica location page) or print the invitation from the nonprofit’s Facebook page.
“With continual budget cuts in California causing many arts programs to be reduced or eliminated, it’s important that the private sector step in and show their support,” said Linda Gross, executive director of the Ed Foundation. “We’re delighted that Daily Grill reached out to us and we will be rallying the troops to show their support Saturday evenings in November and beyond.”
