On Wednesday evening May 12, at 5:21 p.m. Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 1833 18th Street in the City of Santa Monica. Upon arrival, Firefighters found a working fire within a 1 story bungalow style residence and immediately entered the structure to search for victims and extinguish the fire.
It took approximately 10 minutes to suppress the flames, which were confined to the room of origin within the structure. There were no injuries reported to civilians or first responders. In total, there were 28 personnel on scene, including McCormick Ambulance. The cause of the fire is still being determined by SMFD Investigators.
