Officers responded to the 300 block of Colorado Avenue — Bloomingdale's — regarding a report of a shoplifter who was running from store security. Officers located the suspect at Fifth Street and Colorado Avenue and ordered him to stop, but he kept running. He was eventually detained. Security said that the suspect entered the department store, took a sweater and removed the security tag and shoved the sweater down his pants. When security tried to confront him, he ran. The suspect was booked for burglary and resisting arrest. He was identified as Thomas Baker, 27, a transient. His bail was set at $20,000.
