240015712 – Residential Burglary
On Friday, February 16th at approximately 2:02pm, officers were dispatched to a burglary on the 2000 block of Main Street. At 1:50pm, the victim heard a noise from downstairs. When investigating the noise, the victim observed 32-year-old Gerson Perez, who had illegally entered the property in an incident one day prior, in the living room of her home. The victim ordered Perez to leave. After Perez left the property, the victim noticed Perez had stolen her house keys, vehicle keys, and phone. Officers later located Perez and recovered the stolen property from his person. Perez was subsequently arrested and transported to the Santa Monica Jail for booking.
