On Feb. 7 at approximately 6:40 p.m.
Officers responded to a radio call regarding a suspect trespassing at the Subway restaurant at 1551 Ocean Ave. Witnesses stated the suspect, Joshua Robinson, attempted to take another customer’s sandwich from behind the counter but was not successful. Restaurant staff proceeded to ask Robsinon to leave the store multiple times with no response. Officers repeated the request for Robinson to exit the store, again, multiple times to no avail. Robinson was placed under arrest for trespassing, 602.1(a) PC., transported to the Santa Monica Jail and issued a citation with a promise to appear in court on 4/8/2021.
