Crime Watch is culled from reports provided by the Santa Monica Police Department. These are arrests only. All parties are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
On August 24 at approximately 4:35 p.m.
Officers contacted an individual riding a bicycle on the sidewalk in the path of approaching pedestrians. When questioned, the individual stated he was in possession of drug paraphernalia. During the subsequent search, officers also located various tools believed to be used to commit burglary. Antonio Powell, 41, originally from the Los Angeles area, was booked for possession of burglary tools, riding his bike on the sidewalk and drug paraphernalia.
