On Friday, June 3 at 10:53 a.m.
Officers arrived at the 1300 block of the 3rd Street Promenade regarding a person reportedly displaying a weapon call. Upon arrival, officers located the victims who were a mother and her 12-year-old daughter. Officers learned that the daughter was eating a bag of chips as she walked through the promenade with her mother, when a subject approached them and asked for chips. When they refused, the subject asked for money and for the daughter, while displaying a metal object in his hands (makeshift brass knuckles). The victims ran away and hid in a tattoo shop while they contacted authorities. Officers arrived and arrested Jesse Coria Rosete for robbery and resisting arrest.
