On Thursday, June 2 at 10:13 p.m.
Officers arrived at the 2400 block of Main St at around 10:13 p.m. Upon arrival the victim relayed he was walking with a friend and was approached by the subject, they exchanged words and a physical fight ensued. During the fight, the suspect pulled out a knife and slashed the victim on the arm and forehead. The victim’s friend pulled him away and the suspect ran off toward the waterline and into the ocean. The victim was transported to the hospital for his injuries and with the assistance of a police K9 the suspect was apprehended and was taken into custody. Jason Robert Ringo was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
