On June 12
Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) Officers responded to the area of the 1900 block of Cloverfield Blvd regarding multiple reports of possible gunshots fired. Witnesses in the area initially heard several shots being fired, then observed a male subject enter a light colored (possibly white or silver) Dodge Magnum and point a firearm at a group of bystanders standing on Cloverfield Blvd. The suspect then fled in his vehicle. The suspect is described as a male White or Hispanic, approximately 6’3 with arm tattoos, wearing a blue baseball cap and dark clothing. Neither the suspect nor his vehicle were located on scene. No victims were located on scene or admitted to local hospitals. Upon canvassing the area, seven shell casings were found in a driveway to one of the apartment buildings.
