The victim of an assault with a deadly weapon walked into the Public Safety Facility after being attacked with a knife. The victim relayed that he was walking through Tongva Park and noticed a transient laying on the ground with a blanket. The subject’s basketball had rolled out and the victim let the subject know. The subject then stood up angrily and charged at the victim with a knife, the victim ran away and dropped his belongings in the process. Officers located the subject at Tongva Park and questioned him about the incident. The subject became irate and started to throw things at officers. Ultimately Tyrell Pak was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and for Resisting Arrest. The victim’s belongings were retrieved.
