Crime Watch is culled from reports provided by the Santa Monica Police Department. These are arrests only. All parties are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
On Thursday, May 5
Officers responded to the 1000 block of Ocean Avenue at 6 a.m. regarding a trespassing call. Upon arrival they met with the reporting party that stated there was a subject sleeping inside his vehicle in the parking garage. The vehicle owner left the car unlocked so it could be washed and detailed, but upon returning to the vehicle the suspect, identified as Nicholas Hadden, was found sleeping inside. He was placed under arrest for tampering with a vehicle and for providing false identification to an officer. Hadden was issued a citation after being booked at the Santa Monica Jail.
