On Sunday, March 6 at 12:40 a.m.
Santa Monica Police officers conducted a traffic stop on the 2600 block of 3rd St. Upon approaching the vehicle, Officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Simultaneously, an individual approached officers and stated the driver had crashed into his vehicle in Beverly Hills and he had followed the driver for several miles into Santa Monica. Officers conducted a series of field sobriety tests and ultimately determined the driver to be unfit to drive due to his current state. Beverly Hills PD Officers also responded to the traffic stop. Aiden Felipe Menses Lopez was cited for Driving Under the Influence and Hit & Run.
