SMPD Officers responded to a Vandalism call on the 1300 block of the 3rd Street Promenade in front of Foot Locker. The comments of the call stated that the subject had kicked the victim’s equipment. Upon arrival, Officers noticed two individuals about to engage in a fight and were successful in de-escalating the situation. Several witnesses relayed that the subject had punched a vehicle’s window, assaulted an elderly transient man, assaulted another passerby, and ultimately kicked the current victim’s equipment and challenged him to a fight. The subject threatened officers and appeared to be visibly intoxicated. Yusuf Hana Hana was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, vandalism, and public intoxication. A stay away order from Downtown Santa Monica was also requested.
