On Saturday, February 5 at 12:50 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to Ralph’s on the 1600 block of Cloverfield due to a Battery. The store security guard had the subject handcuffed as they awaited police. Officers learned that the individual attacked two women in the store. One victim relayed that she knocked on the restroom door while the subject was inside, he then opened the door and charged at her attempting to punch her but missing. Later, another victim stated that the subject charged at her down the aisle and hit her on the head several times, causing her to fall. Kwami Miles Brown was arrested for Assault and transported to Santa Monica jail. He was later issued a citation with a return date for court.
On Thursday, February 3 at 11:57 p.m.
Officers responded to the front of the Public Safety Facility in reference to a reported assault with a deadly weapon. The victim relayed she was sitting on a bench in Tongva park when a woman approached her and began yelling obscenities and telling her, “get out of my hood.” The woman then pulled out a bat and began hitting the victim with it. The victim was able to run away and report the incident. Officers were able to locate the subject and Vicki Estrada Lazo was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
