Santa Monica Dispatchers received a call regarding an elderly man that was pushed down to the ground near 4th and Santa Monica Blvd. The victim, a 72 year old male stated he was approached by an individual, later identified as Brett Newsom, a 28-year-old male from Bakersfield. Newsom is accused of pushing the victim while making incoherent statements. Newsom was issued a citation with a court date of March 2, 2022.
