On June 30 at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Officers received a call of an active petty theft from a commercial location on the 1300 block of the 3rd Street Promenade. Store personnel reported that an individual known for previously shoplifting in the store had returned and upon her exit, the merchandise security alarm indicated there were stolen items in her bag. Veronica Martinez was located in a nearby store where she continued to shoplift items. She was arrested for 459.5 (PC) - shoplifting.
