On Monday morning at about 9:22 a.m.
SMPD Officers responded to a male that cut himself in the neck area with a sharp object while at the coffee shop located on the property of St. Monica’s Church. Officers arrived at the scene and contacted a male bleeding profusely from the neck. Officers rendered first aid and summoned the Santa Monica Fire Department. A single razor blade was located near the subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment. At time of this communication the male was listed as stable.
