On July 24, 2018 at about 12:25 a.m.
Officers responded to a radio call for service in the area of Main Street and Hill Street regarding a robbery that just occurred. Officers learned a group of juveniles were riding their skateboard along the beach bike path. As they reached the 2600 block of the path, a male subject approached from behind and began yelling at the group. The suspect approached the victim and demanded his shirt. The suspect attempted to punch the victim in the face. The victim was not struck. The victim ran off leaving his skateboard behind. The suspect walked off with the skateboard. The suspect was located a short distance away and taken into custody. The skateboard was recovered and returned to the victim. William Randall Beheler, 21, homeless, was booked for attempted robbery. Bail was set at $50,000.
