On May 1 at about 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to a disturbance inside Tender Greens at 201 Arizona Ave.
The caller reported that she had just been assaulted by a female who seemed to be intoxicated. One of the responding officers located the suspect walking westbound on Arizona with two other females.
As the officer spoke with the suspect, identified as Skai Peed, 21, of Las Vegas, the victim approached the group and stated, "Yes, that's her. The girl in the pink top just hit me in the face!"
The victim, as well as an employee of Tender Greens, told officers Peed and the other females were being loud and belligerent while inside the restaurant, yelling at one another and customers.
The victim said, and two witnesses corroborated, that as Peed walked out of the restaurant she passed by the seated victim and struck her in the mouth with her right hand. The victim did not report any injuries.
Peed was arrested for battery and transported to the Santa Monica jail. Bail was set at $20,000.
