The Santa Monica College Theatre Arts and Music Departments are pleased to present Bonnie & Clyde May 24-June 2 in the Theatre Arts Main Stage on the main SMC campus, 1900 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica.
Based on the book by Ivan Menchell, with lyrics by Don Black and music by Frank Wildhorn, Bonnie & Clyde is a thrilling and sensual musical combining blues, gospel, and rockabilly music. Fearless, shameless, and alluring, the play presents the electrifying story of love, adventure, and crime that captured the attention of an entire nation. The SMC production is directed by Adrianne Harrop, with music direction by Gary Gray.
Show times are 8 p.m. on Friday, May 24 and May 31, and Saturday, May 25 and June 1. Matinees are at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, and on Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2. A preview is scheduled at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 23.
Advance tickets range from $17 to $20 ($10 for preview), plus a service charge, and can be purchased by going to smc.edu/mainstage or by calling 310-434-4319 or 310-434-3005 Monday through Friday (limited hours). Tickets are $3 higher at the door before performances. Parking is free on Friday evenings and weekends.
