L.Frank Baum's beloved classic "The Wizard of Oz" musical is coming to Barnum Hall.
Dorothy Gale is swept away by a tornado to the magical land of Oz — "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." There Dorothy, accompanied by her little dog Toto, makes great new friends — the Scarecrow, The Tin Man and The Lion — and a mortal enemy in the Wicked Witch.
Fans of all ages will delight as Dorothy and friends "follow the yellow brick road" to find the Wizard who can help her return home. With flying monkeys, familiar songs, and whimsical munchkins, Samohi Theatre's "The Wizard of Oz" is a treat for the whole family.
Two talented casts of students from Santa Monica High School's Theatre, Choir, Orchestra, Band and Dance programs ensure that you will return to Oz for this magical journey more than once.
The performances will be March 13-14 and 19-21 at 7 p.m. as well as March 14 and March 21 at 2 p.m. Barnum Hall is located at Santa Monica High School, 601 Pico Blvd.
Tickets are available at www.samohitheatre.org and cost $16 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.
