The City of Malibu Community Services Department will present ideas and conceptual designs for the replacement of two small playground areas at Malibu Bluffs Park during a community meeting on Tuesday, April 2. All are welcome to attend the meeting at Malibu City Hall (23825 Stuart Ranch Rd, Malibu CA 90265), in the Multi-Purpose Room, 6 to 7 p.m.
“Bluffs Park is one of the treasures of the community, and I look forward to seeing the exciting plans and ideas to make this great playground even better for Malibu kids,” said Jefferson “Zuma Jay” Wagner.
Recommendations include a fitness station in the current zip-line area and a small climbing and agility playground for children ages 2-5 in the sand-digger area. Give your feedback on the conceptual designs and share your preferences on the type of equipment that will be installed in the playground.
Feedback from the community meeting will be incorporated into the plans, which will return to City Council this spring.
The Malibu Parks and Recreation Commission gave recommendations on conceptual designs and equipment options during their meetings on July 17 and August 21, 2018.
