The Santa Monica Oceanaires are serving up both scoops and songs at their annual Ice Cream Social on Saturday, September 14 at 2 p.m. at Palisades Lutheran Church.
Get an icy cool blast in the last weeks of summer as the Westside-based chorus and chapter quartets serenade Saturday afternoon sundae-lovers with old-time barbershop polecats and patriotic anthems. The Santa Monica Oceanaires are pleased to welcome award-winning and celebrated guest quartets Vixen, Oddly Enuf, and The Velvet Frogs.
“The Oceanaires’ annual Ice Cream Social is a popular way to spend a summer afternoon enjoying barbershop harmonies,” says Ken Scholtz, Ice Cream Social Co-chairman. “And you can enjoy all the ice cream you can eat afterwards.”

The Santa Monica Oceanaires is a non-profit 501(c)(3) group founded in 1976. Its roster consists of more than 45 men who meet weekly to sing barbershop style. It is an official chapter of the The Barbershop Harmony Society.
