American Red Cross of Santa Monica volunteers will host a car wash to raise funds on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the chapter's parking lot, 1450 11th St.
Pay $10 per car and $15 per truck or SUV for a thorough hand wash and vacuum. Volunteers will use only the latest environmentally-friendly practices and sustainable materials during the washing process, officials with the Red Cross said.
All proceeds will benefit "PrepareSoCal," the three-year campaign to better equip communities to respond to life-threatening disasters.
