Downtown Services Unit (DSU) Officers responded to McDonald’s on the 100 block of Colorado Ave. for a fight in progress. Upon arrival, the victim relayed that he was sitting in front of the location when the subject began to harass him and his family. When the victim asked the subject to back off, the subject hit him with a nearby object and then tried to take the victim’s property. The victim confronted the subject and a fight ensued. The victim was able to hold down the subject until police arrived. Daniel Ortiz, a 39-year-old male from Norwalk, was arrested for assault and a stay-away order from McDonald’s was requested.
