Officers responded to a call of a person brandishing a weapon at the Goodwill Store on the 500 block of Santa Monica. The reporting party flagged down officers and directed them toward the subject, who was subsequently detained. The reporting party stated that he had asked the subject to leave the store given his history of stealing from them. This request aggravated the subject who began to yell and threaten the employee as he walked out of the store. Once outside, the subject pulled out what appeared to be a semi-automatic gun and held it up momentarily while threatening the employee. After searching the subject, police located the gun which turned out to be an imitation weapon. Gerardo Reyes was arrested for brandishing an imitation firearm.
