Officers responded to the 1900 block of Lincoln Blvd. regarding a battery. Upon arrival, the victim relayed that the subject had been sitting at a nearby table and out of nowhere punched him in the face. When the victim asked the subject why he had punched him, the subject responded by saying, "I punched you because I felt like it!" The victim noticed the subject was holding a foldable pocket-knife in his hand and decided not to further engage. Officers located the subject nearby and arrested Anthony Dwayne Smith for 243(a) PC - Battery and 417(a)(1) PC - Brandishing. Smith was later cited and released.
