SMPD Officers noticed a vehicle driving northbound on Main Street fail to stop at a red light. The Officers conducted a traffic stop and upon receiving the vehicle registration information, the officer noticed that the information did not match the driver. Dispatch advised the officer that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Los Angeles on 6/28. Erik Gonzalez was arrested for a unlawfully taking or driving of a vehicle, and later released on a citation. The vehicle owner was contacted to retrieve her property.
