At approximately 11:42 a.m.
SMPD received notification about a train versus vehicle accident at 11th St. Officers arrived at the scene and determined westbound Metro train was struck at the 11th Street intersection by a motor vehicle traveling westbound on Colorado that made an illegal left turn in front of the train.
No injuries were sustained by passengers on the Metro train, or by the driver of the vehicle making the illegal turn. Train service was interrupted for approximately 20 minutes.
