Local Girl Scouts recently held a three day camping event filled with tents, outdoor-skills and togetherness with 237 girls, young women, and adult women. The Santa Monica Elks Lodge #906 gave a generous grant for the Samoree 2019 Archery Program to the Santa Monica Bay Girl Scout Council #542. The Scouts were able to include archery for over 200 girls and leaders. Archery was a huge hit of the Girl Scout Outdoor Weekend. Girl Scouts of Santa Monica are committed to community service and outdoor leadership opportunities for our young women.  The Scouts are proud to partner with the Elks Lodge to serve the entire community of Santa Monica and with the Elks help the young girls are making the community a stronger, safer and a more vibrant place to live.
