On October 25, at about 6:39 p.m.
An officer responded to a radio call for service in the area of 100 block of Sea View Terrace regarding a male and female arguing over the sale of bicycle. Officers determined the bicycle did not belong to either of the parties involved and may have been stolen. As officers were attempting to take possession of the bike, the female pushed an officer in the chest area. As the subject did this, she yelled at the officers. The subject was placed under arrest for assaulting an officer. Karen Margaret Batzel, 50, from Santa Monica was issued a citation for assault and battery.
