On December 1, at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Officers patrolling the area near Ocean Avenue and Pico Boulevard noticed a beige Volkswagen Passat in the 00 block of Arcadia Terrace in a no parking zone. The vehicle was occupied by five males, including one juvenile who was in the driver seat, and smelled of burnt marijuana. During their investigation, the officers noted that all four occupants appeared to be under the influence and none had a valid driver license. While searching the vehicle, the officers found a loaded pistol. The gun was registered to a resident of San Bernardino not related to any of the occupants of the vehicle. One of the subjects was found to be a documented Florencia 13 gang member.
Michael Samuel Medina, 18, of Lennox, had bail set at $35,000. Jose Roberto Arbizu, 18, of Los Angeles, had bail set at $35,000. Christopher Ariel Murillo, 19, of Santa Monica, had bail set at $35,000. Victor Alfonso Rodriguez, 19, of Los Angeles, had bail set at $35,000. A juvenile was also arrested.
