Santa Monica Public Library is pleased to present a Documentary Movie Screening & Post-Film Discussion of Alive Inside (2014) on Saturday, July 25, at 2 p.m., in the Main Library's Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
An Audience Award winner at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, this uplifting documentary demonstrates the healing quality of music, as music therapists use music to stimulate the brains and memories of Alzheimer's patients and other memory-related disorders. The film will be followed by a discussion with Laura Kanofsky, a board certified music therapist and licensed clinical social worker. (Film runtime: 78 min.)
