PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY — Santa Monica police officers are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman suspected of cashing several bogus checks worth an estimated $30,000.
The suspect has been seen entering several financial institutions between February and May of 2012, where she then produces a counterfeit check with the forged signature of the victim to be cashed, said SMPD Sgt. Richard Lewis in a press release issued Thursday.
The suspect is described as an African-American female, 25 to 30 years old, thing build with dark eyes and long, straight dark hair.
