St. Monica football topped Mary Star of the Sea, 17-7, on Friday at Daniels Field.
The win improves St. Monica's record to 2-1 as the Mariners prepare for nearby Brentwood on Saturday at Santa Monica College.
Brentwood enters the game 2-0 this season.
The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Corsair Field.
