Santa Monica High School’s softball team will travel to Pomona Catholic for their CIF-SS Division 4 quarter final game today. The game begins at 3:15 p.m. at Palomares Park.
Samohi is coming off a clutch 3-1 win over Garden Grove in the second round on Tuesday. The Vikings are currently the No. 2 seed in the playoffs and are ranked second in the latest Cal Hi Sports statewide poll.
The No. 1 team in Division 4, La Quinta, lost in the second round to Buena, 11-4. That leaves the Vikings as the highest seed left in their division.
