Despite being the No. 2 seed in the CIF-SS Division 4 softball playoffs, Samohi (23-5 overall, 10-0 in the Ocean League) faces a tough first round foe.
The Vikings will face El Segundo (12-12 overall, 5-5 in the Pioneer League), a team that lost in last season’s division finals.
El Segundo advanced to face Samohi by defeating Lompoc, 3-0, on Tuesday.
“We have to come ready to go,” Samohi Head Coach Debbie Skaggs said. “But, I think we’re stronger than them.”
