EASTSIDE — Several shots rang out Friday night in the neighborhood bordering Stewart Street Park in what police said may have been a targeted attack.
At least two residents were shot at as they arrived at their home in the 2800 block of Delaware Avenue around 9:23 p.m. Police said two suspects approached the victims’ vehicle on foot and fired several shots before running off into the night.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the victims may have been specifically targeted as a result of previous incidents in which they were involved.
The first suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his 20’s, 6-feet-1, approximately 150 pounds, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and dark plaid shorts and white pulled up socks. Witnesses said the suspect has pale complexion with acne.
The second suspect is described as a male Hispanic, also in his 20’s, 5-feet-7 with a stocky build. He was also wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and dark plaid shorts and white pulled up socks, police said.
The suspects fled west from the location on foot. No vehicle was seen and the suspects are still outstanding.
