Santa Monica Public Library is proud to present Unknown Romantic Masterpieces by Delius & Reger performed by Paul Stein and Leo Marcus on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.

Violinist Paul Stein and pianist Leo Marcus present a program of sonatas written in the early 20th century by Frederic Delius and Max Reger, coping in different ways with the emergence of “modern” music out of the romanticism of the late 19th century.

Violinist Paul Stein was a member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic for 36 years. He is Artistic Director for the chamber music series at the Arcadia and Cerritos Libraries.  Leo Marcus studied piano with Sylvia Tannenbaum in Hollywood, with John Steele Ritter in Claremont, and with Alexander Tamir in Jerusalem.  He is the director of the SoCal Chamber Music Workshop.
