Santa Monica Daily Press Publisher Ross Furukawa conducts a one on one conversation with Ted Lieuin anticipation of the upcoming election for California US Representative, 33rd District.
Ted Lieu reminds voters he has been "fighting for almost 10 years for the citizens of Santa Monica against the FAA" for control of our airport. "I held hearings and brought in experts who confirmed higher levels of air pollution and blood lead, got that information to the City Council, and I'm so pleased that they recently voted unanimously to not renew the lease with the FAA for part of the airport." He touted his record with Santa Monica as our state senator who has "delivered results" – supporting Chain Reaction, criticizing the Hines development, getting grants for non-profits, passing landmark legislation for LGBT rights, access for health care, and reigning in predatory lending, especially for students.
