Have you visited the homepage of Santa Monica High School? The hypocrites are selling everything under the sun. Company reps are allowed on campus to hawk their wares. School rings are pushed, of course mandatory cap and gowns, and a special ad for a restaurant that will donate a buck or two to the school as long as everyone pays a buck or two for a soda that costs them pennies.
The best of all are the "opportunities" for homecoming tickets.
What kind of homecoming would it be without their star player ("Samohi administration relents, allows all-star ceremony," Sept. 24)? The boy risks injury by playing, which could cost him his scholarship and career, yet the school profits.
Quite an example for the communist hypocrites running the high school that refuses to allow ESPN to take advantage of the poor boy.
