An unidentified man committed suicide by jumping off a downtown parking structure at about 12:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.
The death is the third time someone has killed themselves in one of the downtown parking garages in the last year. A woman jumped from Parking Structure 4 in December of 2018 and a man also died in Structure 4 in September of that year.
Santa Monica Police Lt. Saul Rodriguez said officers were called to the scene at about 12:30 a.m. and found no signs of foul play. He said witnesses reported seeing the man standing on ledge just before he fell.
Rodriguez said the victim has yet to be identified.
