April is Earth Month at the Pico and the Main Street Farmers Markets. Look for an event packed month focused on food, farmers, and the planet. We are trying to do our part in making the markets as eco-friendly as possible by requiring vendors to use recyclables and to compost their food waste. Please help us with this mission by using the bin that corresponds with your throw aways. Not quite sure what goes where? Ask the information booth. We are more than happy to demystify.

Inspired to plant a garden or maybe a window box? Master Gardeners will be coming to the markets with planting activities and gardening strategies.

As you have probably noticed, all your favorite fruits and veggies are taking a little longer than usual because of the March rainstorm and cooler weather. Look for plenty of yummy offerings to come and prepare to be amazed at what a little rain can do. And yes! Harry’s Berries is back at the Main Street Farmers Market with organic strawberries. Organic sweet cherries arriving in May!

Snap peas? Yes please! Looking for a fun healthy on the go snack? Sugar snap peas are the perfect springtime go to for a delicious treat by itself, on a cheese platter or tossed in a salad.

Look for returning vendors and new pop ups including Blue Plate Oysterette, Triple Beam Pizza and Kavahana at the Main Street Farmers Market.
