Given growing demands on a limited and in fact diminishing water supply, fires and mudslides, politicians at all levels must be more responsible in their oversight of building permits for both housing and commercial development in accordance ( balance) with the natural environment of California.
Careful stewardship in putting the safety and security of residents must be top priority over all other considerations.
The above positions are the true definition of sustainability.
Ironic isn’t it, the way in which a majority of California politicians love to spout environmental causes from one side of their mouths, while exasperating the demands on natural resources and inadequate infrastructure as they promote more unsustainable growth from the other side of their mouths.
