In addition to a concern for representation of Latinx from the Pico neighborhood the fact of direct and
connected representation on Santa Monica City Council from every neighborhood would make for a City more concerned about the quality of life for residents as opposed to business and tourism.
Think truly affordable housing vs. Mc Mansion and luxury apartments. Beat- walking or bike- riding cops in our neighborhoods vs. multiple police cruisers for each auto robbery or Pier incident. Think clean sidewalks with signage that advocates walking vs. scooting.
Think about a group of people with easy access to their representative on the council and a council made up of people who actually understand the needs of the neighborhood they live in and cooperate to bring solutions to
