On Aug. 6 at about 12:51 a.m., Santa Monica police officers responded to a radio call for service in the 1500 block of Ocean Avenue regarding a battery that just occurred.
Officers detained a suspect at the scene. Officers determined a male victim and female victim were walking in the 100 block of Colorado Avenue when, for unknown reasons, the suspect touched the buttocks area of the female victim.
The male victim confronted the suspect. The suspect punched the male victim in the face.
The suspect walked away as the victims called police. Both victims were desirous of prosecution.
The suspect, Aaron Guardo, 25, of Sylmar, was taken into custody without incident and booked for battery, sexual battery and a parole violation. He was held without bail.
