A suicide threat closed 2nd. St. between Wilshire Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd. for several hours Wednesday night as the Santa Monica Police and Fire Departments respond to an individual clinging to the edge of Downtown Parking Structure 2.
An alert was sent out to residents around 6:12 p.m. on Wednesday advising them of the closure. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel also responded have deployed a large inflatable air mattress below the individual.
After several hours, the individual was brought inside and taken to a local hospital.
