Shots fired during fight on Pico

Two injured in weekend stabbing

The following information was provided by the Santa Monica Police Department in regards to an incident on Pico Blvd. last night.

On September 5, 2016 at approximately 1834 hours, Santa Monica Police Department received multiple 911 regarding a fight involving several male subjects at 1865 Lincoln Blvd.   An investigation revealed, two males were chasing another male westbound in the 800 block of Pico Blvd.  When they caught up to the subject a fight ensued.  As the subjects were fighting, two vehicles stopped adjacent to where the fight was occurring and an occupant of one of the vehicles, fired from a handgun toward the subject that was being chased. The subject did not appear to be hit and was able to flee the location.  The two males who had been chasing the subject entered one of the vehicles, described as a silver compact vehicle.  The other vehicle, containing the shooter, was described as a burgundy compact vehicle.

 A short time later, two stabbing victims arrived at a local hospital.  Both victims matched the description of the subjects involved in the fight at 1865 Lincoln Blvd.  Both subjects were treated for their injuries.   The investigation on-going.
